Frank Ponce became proficient in Surgical Area cleaning, the most crucial area of any health care facility.

In 1990 he founded AVVATAR, which today services clinics, offices and residences in the northern NJ Metro Area.

His wife, Mary Thies, retired as a Guttenberg, NJ school teacher in 2005 and assists with excellent customer service and employee screening & training.

About Us

AVVATAR’s president, Frank Ponce, worked in the dry cleaning industry in the 1970’s where he learned the fundamentals of textile identification and applied cleaning methods.

In 1980 he was recruited by the Regional Vice President for an international Health Care Facilities Cleaning Management company “Crothall American”.
